DVD packaging is usually done by Shrink Wrapping. It is probably the most common of all wrapping methods. DVD packaging is accomplished by trimming a piece of shrinkable film around an the object, and then sending it through a heat ‘tunnel’ which decreases the size of the film to conform to the exact size of an outer box or product. This is a tamper resistant covering that is very common at the retail level on other products as well such as gift sets, software, and games, just to name a few. The gloss effect created by the DVD packaging film tends to give the product a richer appearance.
