New Business Development Manager

Looking for a sales professional to run, manage and grow the Dallas / Ft. Worth/ Houston region for an established contract packaging company. This position will report directly to the president and will be responsible for growing the Texas regional market from zero to $7MM in 5 years. Individual will work remote and as territory grows, a local project manager and regional office will be added to support the customer base and sales activity. This is a unique opportunity for a person who is motivated, resourceful and heavily networked in the packaging industry as a whole.

Location: Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas Territory

Responsibilities: Best candidate will bring a book of business with them or work to close business from company provided sales leads. Minimal prospecting required but focus will be on growing the customer AND vendor base in a short period of time. This is a sales role for custom packaging solutions and the right individual for this role is one who fully understands consultative sales strategies, multi-tasking, negotiating, market pricing, competitive landscape and closing new business.

Qualifications: Seeking a driven and well networked sales person in the contract packaging industry in the Dallas/Ft. Worth and Houston territories. History selling products or services within a broker model would be a huge advantage. Looking for someone who can forge and maintain strong relationships with copack partners, vendors and customers. Also, a proven leader who is a strong communicator and who has a history of success closing business within a short sales cycle. Knowledge of the contract manufacturing and co-packing landscape in the south is necessary along with a good history of selling both primary and secondary contract packaging services. Alignment to company culture is also a must while working and managing a territory independently. A 4 year college degree preferred or a commensurate amount of successful selling and growing sales in the Texas region is also a qualifier.
