Cartoning

Assemblies Unlimited offers many cartoning services, including fully automatic volumetric filling of pasta, confection, powders, and more.  We can design and support chipboard cartons that are sift-proof, have glue-ends, bag in box, gable-top, theatre style, and auto bottom.

Over the last 2-years, we have experienced a lot of success supporting Mac and Cheese production, which includes the blending and pouching of the cheese, filling it into a pouch via HFFS, automatically dropping the pasta along with the cheese packet, gluing both ends, date and lot code, pack out into master cartons, palletize and ship.  We are doing millions of cartons of Mac and Cheese, so if you have a new brand you are trying to launch, contact Assemblies Unlimited.

We can provide a “labor only” solution or a full turnkey option where we could source and supply the packaging materials locally, including the printed cartons, the flexible film for the cheese packet, and the master cases for shipping.  We prefer that our clients provide the raw ingredients.

In addition to labor, we can provide the following packaging materials for your next cartoning project:

  • Clear or printed flexible film
  • Printed folding cartons
  • Inner cartons (IFCs)
  • Master cartons (corrugated)
  • Counter displays
  • POP displays

Made the process for us, fast and efficient!

We’ve worked with Jim DeKosta for over a year now – since our product was just a concept. Since that time, we’ve gone through product development and production as well as packaging concept, development, testing and production. Jim has always made the process for us, fast and efficient. Our experience was further challenged by the supply chain disruptions driven by COVID. Jim once commented that in his role, packaging, they’re always the last mile in the supply chain. All the problems that cause delays upstream in the supply chain flow downstream so that when AUI receives the products for packaging – every delay short and long accumulates and the urgency to ‘pack and ship’ becomes even more urgent. All I can say – given these strange times and unpredictable supply chains, you can’t do better than having someone like Jim/AUI in your corner getting you to market.

Assemblies took care of everything!

I'm the owner of a small start up that encountered a big problem as we had too many orders to fill our pouches manually, but too little to be able to afford a big production line without losing money. We all know that the MOQ for productions lines are usually high for small start ups. After many hours of searching I was blessed with this company. From the first moment we were able to agree on the conditions and, although along the way we had some other problems when regulating the sealing heat of the bags among others, Assemblies took care of everything by putting at our disposal a perfect finished product. Not only that, but they also stored our product for a long period of time while we found a warehouse. Regarding our assigned project manager, Sean, I have only good words for him. An efficient, work-done oriented person, with the main focus on customer satisfaction. The kind of people who never say no to a challenge, and always find a win-solution for everyone. We had a problem with our product boxes, but it didn't take Sean a day to come up with a solution. I couldn't imagine a better person to lead our production. Assemblies is undoubtedly a reliable company and it is worth giving them a try.
